The Name Behind the Brand

Anike. Loved.
Cherished.

"Every woman deserves to feel like she was made for the room she walks into."
— Kehinde Omoru, Founder

"Anike" (ah-NEE-keh) is a Yoruba name of West Africa meaning one who is loved, pampered and cared for — and that is precisely the promise behind every piece created under this name.

Founded by Oluyemisi Kehinde Omoru — known to her clients as Kay — Anike by Kay is a London-based luxury fashion label rooted in Nigerian heritage and shaped by decades of design passion. Kay brings a unique vision: that African textile traditions and contemporary British elegance are not competing forces, but natural partners.

Based in West Wickham, Bromley, the brand serves women across London who want fashion that is personal, meaningful and — above all — beautifully made.

Meet the Designer

Kehinde Omoru — Kay.

Oluyemisi Kehinde Omoru — known to her clients as Kay — has spent a lifetime immersed in fabric, colour and the art of making women feel extraordinary. Born with a deep connection to Yoruba culture and its extraordinary textile heritage, Kay began creating pieces for family and friends before founding Anike by Kay as a celebration of that gift.

Based in West Wickham, Bromley, Kay operates from a studio space where every piece is cut, assembled and finished by hand. She combines authentic West African fabrics — sourced directly from Nigeria — with precise, couture-quality technique to create garments that are genuinely one of a kind.

Kay's philosophy is simple: every woman who comes to her deserves to feel like the most beautiful person in the room — not because of what she's wearing, but because of how what she's wearing makes her feel.

The Bespoke Journey

From dream to dressed

Every bespoke piece at Anike by Kay follows a personal, unhurried process — because your garment deserves as much care as the occasion it's made for.

01

Consultation

We begin with a personal conversation — understanding your occasion, your style, your body and your vision. In person or online, we take our time to truly listen.

02

Design & Fabric

Kay creates sketches and selects fabrics — often sourced from West Africa — tailored to your vision. We present swatches, patterns and silhouettes for your approval.

03

Fitting & Crafting

Each piece is cut, hand-stitched and fitted personally by Kay. We hold fitting sessions to ensure every detail — seam, hem, drape — is exactly right.

04

Final Reveal

The finished piece is delivered with the same care it was created. You leave looking and feeling precisely how you imagined — and probably better.
